Pollen in air on rise again
As many as six thousand patients affected by pollen allergy visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic.
The pollen has been increased due to clear weather in capital. PIMS received 4000 patients while 2000 visited Poly Clinic.
A spokesman of PIMS Dr Waseem Khawaja told Daly Morning Mail that the PIMS emergency has received and treated a large number of patients. The patients are being provided a free of cost treatment including the medicines.
He said that pollen increase in spring season owing to the clear weather in morning and evening due to which there has been an increase in the number of allergy patients.
He added that along with healthcare, patients are being advised to carry a mask, hat and glasses while walking outside during this season.
